Mary Katherine "Kathy" Beauchamp

On May 25th, 2021, Mary Katherine (Kathy) Beauchamp, at age 71, unexpectedly passed from this world into the next where she was greeted by her mother (Patricia Russell) and brother (Thomas Russell) on the other side. She was surrounded by her husband of 48 years, her daughters, son-in-law, and several beloved grandchildren in her final moments. Kathy deeply loved her family and treasured the time they spent together. She was pampered by her loving husband on a daily basis. They were partners in life. She had special relationships with all four of her daughters and looked forward to any time she spent with them. This included the weekly debates, pedicures, craft shows, concerts, Wharton Center outings, cruises, and travel adventures across the United States. She always looked forward to the yearly family camping trip which brought all the generations together. She was lovingly referred to as Yam Yam by her 3 youngest grandchildren. Anyone who knew Kathy could recognize her infectious cackling laugh which would put a smile on your face from 30 feet away. She was a longtime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Laureate Rho Chapter where she had the honor of being chosen Sorority Girl of the Year. She cherished the friendships she developed with these ladies over the past 30 years. Kathy worked for Michigan Bell Telephone as an information operator, at Dollar General as an assistant store manager, and for 21 years as the office/traffic manager at Jackson Radio Works. Kathy is survived by her loving family; her husband, Gerald K. Beauchamp (of Jackson);4 daughters, Stephanie Beauchamp (of Jackson), Carly (Paul) Noland (of Jackson), Casey (Kevin) Beauchamp (of Lansing) and Noelle Beauchamp (of New York City); 6 grandchildren, Austin (Colleen) Matties, Zachary Matties, Paul Noland Jr. (PJ), Jonah Noland, Marissa Noland, Eliza Noland and an additional one (Kota) on the way; 2 great-grandchildren, Zayden and Areia; father, Arthur Russell of Dearborn; 3 sisters, Ginny Russell, Cindy (Ken) Brady and Gail Denman; brother Eric (Kim) Russell; many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service will be held at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, 403 E. South Street, Jackson, MI 49203 on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 1pm. Please join us after the service at Kathy and Jerry's home for light refreshments to celebrate and remember Kathy. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Cascades Humane Society.
