Mildred Delores Canterbury

Of Leoni Township, age 92, was called home to the Lord on Friday December 10, 2021 surrounded by her closest loved ones. Preceded in Death by Mother Lola , Father Eldridge , Husband Christopher Canterbury, Brothers Bobby Ingram, Billy Ingram, Jerry Ingram, Jimmy Ingram. Sister's Sandy Ingram, Barbara Kulik, Cornelia Kirk, Son Brian Canterbury Sr., Daughter Ann Bailey, grandson Scott Cinpak. Survived by Daughter Christina Ingram, Son Steve Canterbury Sr., Sister's Katheryn Heidman, and Shirley Lewis. Brother's Dallas Ingram and Jeff Ingram. Grandchildren: Shannon (Chris) Casad, Robby (Heidie) Bailey, Ryan (Jessica) Bailey, Kara (Chris) Brainard. Steve (Shelly) Canterbury. Rick Cinpak, Robert (Rachel) Ingram, Ashley (Wesley) Carter, Jordan (Jesse) Dick. Brian (Katelyn) Canterbury Jr.,Elizabeth (Jerry) Clark, Great Grandchildren: Britney Hale, Christopher Casad, Cody Davis, Robert Bailey, Nicholas Bailey, Megan Bailey, Taylor Wymer, Kelsey Holubowicz, Peyton Bailey, Bailey Brainard, Christopher Brainard, Mason Brainard, Logan Bailey, Cade Canterbury, Alyssa VanDusseldorp, Scott Cinpak Jr., Kobe Cinpak, Griffin Inrgam, August Ingram, Corbin, Arabella Ingram, Tristin Carter, Jaylee Carter, Jonah Dick, Madison Smith, Clayton Clark, Keagan Clark, Preston Henrich, Brayden Clark, Emillie Clark. 9 great-great grandchildren. Mildred was born November 1, 1929 and grew up the oldest of 12 siblings in Oak Hill, WV and worked at Woolworths Lunch Counter prior to moving to Detroit with her husband of 40 years Chris where they raised 4 children. In 1974 they relocated to Michigan Center, MI where she resided until her final days.Mildred spent her life taking care of many children and grandchildren and even great grand children. Her family was her life. She was the kindest soul imaginable who would give ten fold to assure her family was taken care of. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, puzzles, watching many movies, Jimmy Swaggart, and was a devoted Christian. Services to honor her life will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 11 am with Pastor Larry Rubingh officiating. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Napoleon, Michigan. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 6-8 pm. Contributions in her memory are directed to the family for their needs and wishes.
