Ada L. "Sandy" Mierzwa's Obituary
Age 91, of Jackson, passed away peacefully at her home June 15, 2021, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. She is survived by six children; Diane Swain, Joseph Mierzwa, Judy (David) Gillette, Jeanette (John) Metheringham, David Mierzwa and Brian (Brandy) Mierzwa, many grandchildren; great-grandchildren, former daughter-in-law; Bonnie Mierzwa and sister; Dorothy Abrew. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; Joseph Mierzwa in 1977, daughter-in-law; Kristine Mierzwa in 2018, sister; Shirley Makaiwi in 2011 and her parents; Simon P. and Mary J. (maiden-Joseph) Frazier. Sandy worked in the shoe department at the east side Meijer's until retirement. She was a member of the Child Study and Craft Finders clubs among others. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family at her favorite restaurants. She was a long time and faithful member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, where a Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday June 22, 2021 at 11 am with Father Satheesh Alphonse, SdC officiating. The family will receive guests at the church one hour prior to the service. Contributions in her memory are directed to Our Lady of Fatima Parish. Her cremated remains will be laid to rest next to Joe at St. John's Cemetery at a private family service.
