Alberta M. Yates' Obituary
YATES, ALBERTA M. Age 95, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Summit Park Assisted Living under the care of SouthernCare Hospice. She is survived by four children, Robert (Rita) Yates and Beverly Kruse, all of Jackson, Sharron (Richard) Kruse of Parma and Michael (Mary) Yates of South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Kenneth and Michael Yates, Richard, Daniel and Matthew Kruse and Christine Gartrell; and five great-grandchildren. Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Yates in 1993; son-in-law, David and one granddaughter. She was a longtime volunteer with the American Red Cross, working many Blood Drives; she was a former member of the Michigan Center Bible Church. Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 25 at 11:00 am with Pastor John Larkin officiating. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to the ALS of Michigan, 24359 Northwestern Hwy., Suite 100, Southfield, MI 48075 or the American Cancer Society.
