Allan Lee ""Al"" Green's Obituary
Age 58, of Cadillac passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at his home. Al was born December 28, 1955 in Jackson, Michigan to Jack and Rita (Decker) Green and they preceded him in death. Al graduated from Northwest High School in Jackson and later went on to earn his Associate's Degree. Al worked for MDOT Rail since 1989 and traveled the state of Michigan. He was very involved in snowmobiling and enjoyed riding his motorcycle in the summer. He was the Vice President of the Michigan Snowmobile Association; working all their events and efforts to promote safe snowmobiling and sharing his love of the sport. He was also the Trail Coordinator for Cadillac Winter Promotions and a very active member of Cadillac Winter Warriors. Al enjoyed volunteering and helping at all the charitable events put on by the Cadillac Winter Warriors. He also participated in the North American Snow Festival and helped with the Fun Run. Al had a strong work ethic and was always willing to volunteer and get involved. He was a great husband and father and was always ready to help his daughters. On September 30, 1977 in Jackson he married the former Jennifer D. ""Jen"" Donoho and she survives him with their daughters, Katherine L. Green of Hampton, Virginia and Leslie J. Green of Bath, Michigan and a sister, Michelle (Michael) Teller of Jackson. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Nichols- Arthur Funeral Home in Michigan Center with Pastor Michael Mason of Cornerstone Christian Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until service time. Burial will take place at Lincoln-Pomeroy Cemetery in Tompkins Township. Visitation will also be held Monday evening, November 17, 2014 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Peterson Funeral Homes, 205 E. Cass St., Cadillac, MI 49601. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association or Michigan Snowmobile Association.
