Anthony Gerald Turner's Obituary
Anthony Gerald Turner, 61, formerly of Tipton, Michigan passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Interment will take place Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the cemetery of St. Joseph's Shrine (8743 US-12,) Brooklyn, Michigan. Following the burial, a celebration of life with food and company will be held starting at 2:30 pm at the Jerome Community Center (9559 Harrison Road) Jerome, Michigan 49249. Guests are welcome to join the family at either or both locations.
He was born on August 18, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan to Ralph and Rosemarie (Duff) Turner. Tony is a graduate of Tecumseh High School. He will be remembered as a hard worker that was extremely likable, funny and kind. Tony never met a stranger and was extremely giving. Tony loved his family, especially his children, supporting them in all life events. He moved to Toledo to be near Lake Erie, making it possible to live his dream of boating on the water with his dog, Kong. Tony had strong political beliefs and in his spare time he gave back to the community, by volunteering to serve meals to the homeless. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Tony is survived by his children, Nicholas Turner and Emily Turner; siblings, Ralph (Susan) Turner, Cynthia (Allen) Andrews, Rodney (Susan) Turner and Ginger (Michael) Harris; Sister-in-law Crystal Turner; grandchildren Rosalie, Elliot, Lily and Ledger; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Rosemarie; and a brother, Scott Turner.
