Avice "Mrs. U' Urbaniak
Avice Ann Urbaniak, Age 83, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023. She was born on August 18, 1940, in Jackson, Michigan to William and Garnette (Wright) Lee. Avice will be remembered as a collector of many things, including Owls and M&M’s. She adored animals and would always take the opportunity to take care of them and nurse them back to health if she found them poorly, then once they were well, she would release them back to the wild. Avice was so full of spunk and sass, which made her well known in her community at Big Wolf Lake. She loved to plant her flowers around her house on the lake and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren there. Avice loved to have fun and would indulge in her favorite Pinch Scotch. She was exceptional with numbers, which served her well working for Jester & Associates Realty, Napoleon, MI. Avice was fondly known as “Mrs. U” while she was working as a teacher’s aide for Napoleon Schools.
Avice will be missed by her children, Lana (Chuck) Lakin, Rick (Jill) Parks, and Lorene Lanagan Ratliff; grandchildren; Loren (Sarah) Ebersole, Lezlie (Cory) Earley, Lea (Todd) Barratt, William Bancroft, Buck Bancroft, Dakota Tyndall, Destinee Burbaugh and Joey Burbaugh; great grandchildren Olivia Smith, Alexis Ebersole, Brody Earley, Connor Ebersole, Owen Smith, Lauren Ebersole, Avery Barratt, Bree Earley and Rhett Barratt; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents , her husband Tom and her sister, Sandy.
