Barbara Jean O'Dell's Obituary
Barbara Jean O’Dell, 91, of Michigan Center, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024. Barbara’s funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Clinton Road Bible Baptist, 4401 Van Horn Rd. Jackson, Michigan. Pastor Chris Bigg will serve as celebrant. Interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Napoleon at a later date.
She was born on December 10, 1932, in Napoleon, Michigan to David Charles, and Evelyn Ruth (Miller) Ray. Barbara will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was a long-time member of the Clinton Road Bible Baptist Church where she shared her love for her church by playing the piano. Barbara enjoyed walking her dog and was known as a wonderful neighbor, often taking her lady friends to their appointments and shopping.
Barbara will be missed by her; children, Elizabeth (Craig) Barber, Stephen (Vicky) Gorsuch, Jennifer (David) Noggle, and Jacob (Jessie) Gorsuch; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rex O’Dell and son, David Gorsuch.
