Barbara Jean Sawicki's Obituary
Sawicki (Perham), Barbara Jean Age 50, of Michigan Center, passed away April 23, 2013 at the Allegiance Hospice Home. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Marc D.; daughter, Jasmine A. Sawicki; parents, Raymond and Karen Perham; two brothers, Bruce (Nancy) and Mark Perham; sister-in-law, Denise Cate; three nephews, Nicholas Perham, Brian and David (Amanda) Cate; niece, Amanda Perham; and over 40 daycare children that she cared for like her own. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Irene Switzer and Olymphus and Emma Perham; mother and father in law, Julian and Felicia Sawicki. Barbara graduated from Woodhaven High School in the downriver area in 1981, owned and operated a child care out of her home and had worked at the Imagination Station in Grass Lake. She loved to cook, bake and enjoyed boating. Service will be held at the Federated Church of Grass Lake on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11 am with Pastor Chuck McNeil officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Contributions in her memory are directed to Jasmine's Education Fund or the Allegiance Hospice Home.
