Barbara Ann VanEpps' Obituary
Age 81, of Napoleon Township, found her well deserved peace on Thursday, February 17, 2022 while at Arbor Manor, with family at her side and under the care of Careline Hospice. Barb was born on February 9, 1941 in Jackson, the daughter of Samuel Rollie and Eleanor May (Leece) Hammond. She was a 1959 graduate of Michigan Center High School and soon after graduation was married to Dale William VanEpps. She earned her beautician's degree from Snyder Beauty School in Jackson in 1960. She was the owner of Barbara Ann's Beauty Salon at the corner of Clark Lake Road and M-50; also working at salons in Michigan Center and Napoleon.
Barb is survived by her beloved children and their families, son, Dale Scott (Sandra) VanEpps of Hartland and their sons, Spencer and Shane VanEpps; daughter, Kim Yvonne (Gary) Stoneham of Holt and her daughter, Autumn (Nic) Henion and their daughters, Taylor and Anna Henion; daughter, Barbara Kay Heselschwerdt of Napoleon Township; sisters-in-law, Ruth Hammond, Nancy Matlow and Linda Bevier; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Dale VanEpps in 2010; her parents and brothers, Samuel G. and Richard D. Hammond.
Barb enjoyed gardening, golfing, sewing, collecting anything of hummingbirds or bells and especially sunny Sunday drives. More than anything, she treasured times spent with her family.
Services for Barb will be held at Arthur-Day Funeral Home on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 1:00 pm with her three children leading the services to honor and celebrate the life of their Mom. Visitation will be held on Saturday, beginning at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow the services.
