Barbara Jean Wright's Obituary
Barbara Jean Wright, 68, of Brooklyn passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024 after a lengthy illness. Barbara’s family and friends will gather Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel. Her funeral service will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 11:00 am at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel after the visitation from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. Interment at Highland Cemetery following the service.
She was born on December 3, 1955, in Jackson, Michigan to James and Betty (Gauze) Wright. She will be remembered as a woman who took pride in her appearance and her home. Barbara had a presence about her that made her loved by all. She was a devoted companion, mother, and grandmother. Barbara was a very dedicated, hard worker for Eaton Corporation for many years. She loved to garden, taking great pride in her flowers. Barbara also enjoyed going to the casinos and she cherished the time with her family during the holidays. Barbara will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Barbara is survived by her life companion of 32 years, Rex Berry; her daughter, Kristine (Mike) Ortiz and stepdaughter, Rusheal Lock; her mother, Betty Taylor; siblings, Janice (Larry) Schepler-Carr, Patty Duckham and Tommy (Lisa) Wright; grandchildren Bailey Barron, Adriana Barron, Mercedez Salazar, Micheal Ortiz, Jr., and Ziviniti Ortiz; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, James; brother, Jimmy Wright and granddaughter, Zayleigh Ortiz.
