Mrs Bruce was an absolutely beautiful, sweet woman. She loved Jesus and her family with her whole heart. I can remember a dark time in life, she was a source of light and encouragement to me. A few years later when I lost my Dad, she hugged me and loved on me. I'm forever grateful for the opportunity to know her and love her. I'm praying for your family during this extremely difficult time. I love y'all!!

I worked along side Betty for many years at the school where we shared thelove of our jobs and dedication to the work. We laughed together and each would drop our task at hand to help each other if needed. We were work buddies. Betty, I will miss your smile and steady measured approach to the job you so loved as well as your family that meant so much to you. Rest In Peace my friend!

Betty's life was a blessing to all those she knew. In my many years at Columbia Schools, she was a teacher to me, a friend, a confidant, and when needed, someone who would call me out for my mistakes, but always in caring manner. Her passing will be a loss for us all. We, who have memories of her touching our lives were made better people in knowing her.

Betty was a wonderful person and always ready to help out. Both of them were very helpful when they moved in and their son was in my class and had to catch up in reading but we made it.
Betty was a very special and caring person. Always had a smile, a hug and time to talk when you saw each other in a store or bank in Brooklyn. Will be greatly missed but heaven has a beautiful angel.
