Betty Louise Curley's Obituary
Betty Louise Curley passed away on December 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 31, 1939, in Manchester, Michigan, to Juanita (Lamb) and Richard Fink. Betty graduated from Manchester High School in 1957 and shortly thereafter married the love of her life, the late Edward “Ted” Curley. Together, they shared 62 wonderful years of marriage.
Betty and Ted raised three children: Jill, Brian, and Steve. Known affectionately as “Ging Ging,” Betty was a devoted grandmother to Rachel and Ian and a proud great-grandmother to Brantley.
Betty retired from Huron River Credit Union, where she formed many lifelong friendships. In retirement, she fully embraced her greatest passion - gardening. Her garden was her pride and joy, filled with treasures collected from all over. What began as a few raised beds grew into a breathtaking backyard masterpiece, earning features in numerous gardening magazines. You could always find her tending what everyone lovingly called “Ging Ging’s Garden.”
Betty and Ted spent more than 30 years at Pleasant Lake, where they enjoyed gardening, pontoon rides watching the sunset, and hosting family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ted; her son, Brian; and her sister, JoAnn. She is survived by her daughter, Jill (Doug) Esch; her son, Steve (Sanya); her granddaughter, Rachel Esch; her grandson, Ian Curley; her great-grandson, Brantley Mitchell; her step-grandchildren, Zayden and Lincoln; her sister, Carolyn Rice; and many nieces and nephews.
We know Betty is now watching over us all - making sure there’s enough gas in the car to get where we’re going and that a piece of chocolate and a watering can are always close by.
Betty’s family and friends will gather on Monday, January 5, 2025, 10 AM - 11 AM at Eineder Funeral Homes – Manchester Chapel. Her funeral service will follow at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Manchester after the funeral ceremony. Pastor Lee to officiate the services.
