Her smile that curly hair, she was so special. Her kind sweet way, always inquiring about others! And a wonderful wife and Mother, their two lovely daughters who reflected her smile and kind ways. She will be so missed by her Red Hat friends. She is with her girls now, enjoy Heaven beautiful lady. Miss you, Jan
I met Betty and Ted as a fellow student at Western Michigan University. They were an absolute “fun” couple to be around. Upbeat, terrific sense of humor and spreading good will wherever they went. Her love and loyalty to Ted, her daughters and her students stand as a testament to her character and commitment to family and society. May God bless Betty, Ted and the entire Gulliver family!🙏✝️️💕
Mrs. Gulliver, a true lady of purest grace and beauty with a brilliant smile and twinkle in her eyes that lit up a room. She doesn’t know this, but she was such an inspiration to me. As a student at CCHS, I wanted to help in her beautiful special classroom with all her beautiful children that I adored. But I was too shy to ask the counselor if I could help assist her. I admired the students that were helpers. I wanted to work so badly with children. I did go off to study Child Development at JACC but I didn’t follow my dream to become a special education teacher. God had other plans for me. Almost 3 years ago, I was blessed with my first born beautiful special grandson Lane born with Down Syndrome. My dream came true years later. As Mrs. Gulliver my role model, a beautiful advocate for special needs, I will remember her as I walk this beautiful journey with my amazing grandson as the best advocate I can be along with our beautiful family. We are Team Lane spreading JOY. I couldn’t have asked for a better role model and inspiration as I witnessed Mrs. Gulliver spreading beautiful unconditional love that she shared with so many. I will never forget her. How beautiful heaven must be with her presence. Until we meet again. Eternal rest grant unto her beautiful caring loving gentle vibrant soul. My deepest condolences to Mr. Gulliver as he grieves the loss of his beloved Bride. 💛🙏🏻

I met Betty in college. We were both in sororities at Western Michigan University. It was a nice surprise when I moved to Jackson in 1970. I found out Betty was teaching at Brooklyn Elementary, where I had just accepted a teaching position.
Betty was a very special person who cared about students, friends and family. Her smiling face and sparkling eyes will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Ted and family.
Betty always had a big smile for everyone. She was not only very kind but also so gracious, always. Her last years could not have been easy but she still had that smile. I’m so very sorry for your losses, Ted. For you too, Marie. I pray God continues to comfort all of you.
Forever in our hearts. Winterset personified.❤️. Louise Frank
