Betty L. Hempel's Obituary
HEMPEL, BETTY L. Age 87, a 62 year resident of Michigan Center, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward. Betty is survived by four children, Edward (Barbara) Hempel of Berrien Springs, Kim (Bill) Gaddy of Jackson, Rick (Renee) Hempel of Union City, TN and Julie (Robert) Heighes of Pinckney; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred (Harold) Sauser; brother, Robert (Janelle) Hall; several nieces and nephews. Betty loved her family dearly and was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. A Service to Celebrate Betty's life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday evening from 5 to 8 pm. For those who wish, contributions in Betty's memory may be directed to the Michigan Center Food Pantry or the American Diabetes Association.
