Betty Jean Derr (Myers)'s Obituary
Age 85, of Blackman Township, passed away at Allegiance Health June 14, 2015. She is survived by her husband; Charles D. Derr, six children; Linda (Mike) Hudson, Judy Currier, Wilfred (Julie) Myers Jr., Sally (David) Wright, Cherie (Phil) Fisher and Gloria (Joel) Castiglione, seventeen grandchildren, twenty five great-grandchildren, brother; Robert Mealy, sister-in-law Bets Righard and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband; Wilfred Myers Sr., five siblings and her parents; Charles and Erdie (Maiden-Shaffer) Mealy. Betty was a member of the Fenton Chapter 248 Order of the Eastern Star, a friendly and people oriented person, had worked as a greeter at the Jackson Sam's Club for many years, enjoyed her Tiger Baseball games and was a devoted mother who spent her life raising and caring for her children. Services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 1 pm with visitation from noon to service time. Interment will be Wednesday afternoon at Tylersburg Cemetery in Leeper, Pennsylvania. Contributions in her memory are directed to the Alzheimers Association.
