Beverly Jean Vowler's Obituary
Age 78, of Summit Township, passed away Friday October 29, 2021 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. She is survived by her five loving children, Janice Vowler, Robin Vowler, Randy Vowler, Todd Vowler and Dawn (Philip) Hopkins; eight grandchildren, Douglas Dunlap II, Kirk Caywood-Vowler, Courtney (Ryan) Adair, Timothy Hopkins, Stephanie Vowler, Amber Vowler, Sara Vowler and Randy Vowler Jr.; nine great-grandchildren, Maddison, Zachary, Kayden, Penelope, Xzavier, Elleigh, Lucy, Nahla and Colten; brother, Gerald (Pat) Kurfess; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. Vowler in 2009; sister, Nancy Cole and her parents, Elvin R. and Harriette K. (maiden-Eberle) Kurfess. Beverly spent her working life as an attendant at various area laundromats. She was a great lover of animals, taking in and nursing back to health innumerable stray cats and dogs. Beverly was a warm-hearted and loving mother and grandmother who cherished time with the family. Services will be held at St. Johns United Church of Christ (801 South Mechanic, Jackson, MI) on Wednesday November 3, 2021 at 11 am. Rev. Judy Goodrow will officiate. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved late husband in Roseland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Arthur-Day Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 6-8 pm and at the church on Wednesday from 10 am until service time. Contributions in her memory are directed to the Cascades Humane Society.
