Billy Gene Taylor Sr.'s Obituary
Billy Gene Taylor, 76, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital. He was born on November 21, 1947, in Wausau, Florida, to William Cecil Taylor and Betty Finch. Billy married Judy Lorain Houtz on July 25, 1993, in Jackson, Michigan. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the United States Army. Billy will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and friend. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved working on trucks and cars in his big garage. Billy and his friends gathered often in his garage, playing poker and spending quality time together. He adored, and will be missed by his dog, Darlin, who was the love of his life. Billy will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Billy is survived by his dog, Darlin; wife, Judy Lorain Taylor; his children, Billy Taylor Jr., of Michigan, Julie (Tim) Cunningham and Sharon Blair, of Florida; friends, Kenny and Barb Kistka; stepchildren, Sherie (Eric) Miller and Eric (Jessica) Mohon, of Michigan; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Cecil Taylor and Betty Finch; his granddaughter, Jordynn; and several close friends.
