Bonnie Jean Mierzwa, age 73, passed away on March 24, 2023, surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. She was born on February 19, 1950, to Jack Smith and Betty (Broyles) Smith. Bonnie worked as a waitress for several years at Tom’s Fine Food where she met her co-worker Linda Bosco, and they remained great friends for 45 years. She also bartended at her brother’s bar, The Tiger Tap. She then retired from traveling all over the United States as a truck driver for 30 years.
Bonnie had a beautiful smile that would brighten your entire day and her laughter and upbeat personality was infectious. Bonnie had one of the biggest hearts imaginable, she would drop everything she was doing to help her loved ones or friends in need. But her biggest passion was her family, especially her grandkids. They were the joy of her life. She loved to listen to music sing and dance with all of them. Bonnie was the sunshine in our family and was loved by all and will be greatly missed. We all love you more than words can say, until we meet again. Rest in heaven Bonnie Jean.
Bonnie is survived by her 2 children, Kimberly (Doug) Perrine and Jason (Sue) Powell, 7 grandchildren, Jacob Marriott, Alexis, Peyton, Addilynn and Parker Powell, Michael and Jordan Mierzwa, 1 great grandchild, Aiden Marriott, her dear friend David Mierzwa and her 1st love, soulmate and best friend, Kelly Powell.
