Bret Michael Veldhoff's Obituary
Bret Michael Veldhoff, 56, of Brooklyn passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Bret’s family and friends will gather Friday, April 7, 2023 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel, with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Pastor Jon Bennett will officiate.
He was born on June 15, 1966, in Adrian, Michigan to Howard and Patricia (Lugten) Veldhoff. Bret married the love of his life, Jeri, on July 5, 2005, in Toledo, Ohio. Bret was a Blissfield High School graduate, Class of 1984. He was a huge Michigan State and Detroit Lion’s fan. Bret loved riding his Harley Motorcycle and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting the most. He was a long-time member of the Brooklyn Moose. Bret was employed at Brooklyn Ford for many years. He was a kind, caring man, the family socialite, planning events, a great listener and a beloved friend. Above all he cherished his family. Bret was an amazing husband, son, brother, stepfather and grandfather, attending all their sporting events. He was terrific with his hands, allowing him to fix just about anything. Bret will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bret is survived by his wife, Jeri; his stepchildren, Jennifer Feeman, Dennis (Chasey) Feeman, and Jessica (Chris) Poniatowski; his mother, Patricia Veldhoff; sisters, Beth (Jon) Bennett, Lisa (Mark) Kraus; grandchildren Samirra Hale, Peyton Poniatowski, Caley Pepin, Jacy Pepin, Jesse Feeman, and Iyla Feeman; mother-in-law, Olga Walz; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Howard Veldhoff and father-in-law, Norman Walz.
