Brian Hugh Howland's Obituary
Brian Hugh Howland, 69, formerly of Brooklyn, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at his residence in York, Maine. His family will hold a graveside service at Highland Cemetery.
He was born on October 5, 1955, in Jackson, Michigan, to Hugh and Donna (LaLonge) Howland. Brian is a 1973 graduate of Columbia High School. He was employed as a manager at Eldridge Hardware and Lumber, for over 20 years. Brian also worked at several locations as a contractor and horticulturalist. He loved planting and growing flowers, downhill skiing and sailing on the water. Above all he cherished his time with family and friends, especially his trusty companion, Theodore “Teddy”, his yellow lab.
Brian is survived by his sister, Kristine (Jim) Hittler from Huntington, Indiana; his nephews, Joshua (Emily) Hittler from Huntington, Indiana and Zachariah (Lindsay) Hittler from Huntington, Indiana; and great nieces and nephews, Eva, Joel, Elliott, Lydia, Austin and Addison. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Terri L. Howland and his fur buddy, “Teddy” the Lab.
