Bruce Ray Jackowski's Obituary
Bruce Ray Jackowski, 70, of Manchester, Michigan passed away Monday, August 11, 2025 at ProMedica Hickman Hospital, Adrian. Bruce’s family and friends will gather from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Eineder Funeral Homes – Manchester Chapel, with a memorial service and celebration of life beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor John Martin, from Send the Light Church in Fenton, MI, officiating.
He was born on June 12, 1955, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Lewis and Audrey (Knickerbocker) Jackowski. Bruce married the love of his life, Donna Whalen, on July 11, 1976, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They had 49 blessed years together until his passing. He will be remembered for his commitment to Christ, for over 46 plus years, serving as an Evangelist for Send the Light Church, Fenton or wherever he was needed. Bruce graduated from Saline High School, class of 1973 and attended the University of Michigan. He never met a stranger and had the gift of gab. He also never turned down a donut, they were not fattening because they had a hole in the middle. Bruce loved sweets and his classic cars. He was very mechanical, able to fix just about anything. He retired from Manchester Stamping after 23 years of service. Bruce and Donna took many family road trips to National Parks to see the waterfalls and lighthouses. He was a connoisseur of puzzles, also creating model planes and steam ships. Bruce enjoyed playing the trumpet for fun and church, but above all cherished his time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Donna; his daughters, Rebekah (Brian) Fettkether and Ruth Jackowski; his siblings, Barb Jackowski, Betty (Kevin) Fermoyle and Barry (Bev) Jackowski; two grandchildren, Markus and Luke; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Audrey, and a brother, Bob Jackowski.
