Bruce Wales Osborne Sr's Obituary
Bruce Wales Osborne, Sr., 81, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
He was born on December 12, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan to Charles and Genevive (Huber) Osborne. Bruce married the love of his life, Charlotte Smith, on January 12, 1962, at the First Baptist Church in Wayne, Michigan. He will be remembered as a great man with a terrific sense of humor and a contagious smile. Bruce was very selfless, helping everyone that needed help without expecting anything in return. He is a Roosevelt High School graduate, class of 1960. Shortly after graduation he started his own trucking business in 1963, which is still in business. Bruce enjoyed woodworking, black powder guns and building remote controlled airplanes. He loved being a pilot and flying his own plane and fishing with Charlotte in their boat. Bruce belonged to an Archery club and the family spent many years earlier going up north to Gaylord to their cottage to snowmobile and experience all of nature at its best. Above all, Bruce cherished his family and his animals, even calling his daughter-in-law, affectionately “California”. He will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Charlotte; his children, Shelly Bergowitz and Bruce (Tracy) Osborne, Jr; grandchildren Mark, Briana, Zach, Jacob, and Delanie; great grandchildren Levi, Emersyn and Elizabeth. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Genevive; and his in-laws, Wondell and Helen Smith.
Memorial contributions may be given to family for future designation. Please leave a message of comfort for Bruce’s family or sign his guestbook at www.EinederFuneralHomes.com.
