Carl Edward Hills' Obituary
Carl Edward Hills, 92, of Michigan Center passed away peacefully at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home on December 2, 2024. Carl’s family and friends will gather for visitation at 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday December 5, 2024, and 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Friday December 6, 2024, at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. December 6, 2024 at Eineder Funeral Homes - Michigan Center Chapel.
He was born on March 30, 1932, in Frontier, Michigan to Rex and Marvel (Annis) Hills. After high school, Carl proudly served his country in the United States Army. Upon returning he married the love of his life, Bernetta. They were happily married for 66 years until her passing in 2018. Carl was employed by Goodyear for 42 years, was a member of the American Legion - Rose City Post #324, and truly loved being a member of the Michigan Center Bible Church. Carl enjoyed fishing, going for rides, especially going out to eat, his favorite being bacon and eggs and taking care of his cat Buster. He will be remembered for his devotion and love for his family, with a special bond to his Grandpa Otis.
Carl will be missed by his daughter, Rebecca; siblings, John (Bertha) Hills, Lois Cure; two grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and his special friend Cecilia Polka. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Marvel, his wife, Bernetta, his infant sister, Barbara and grandchildren, Barbara Shanes and Rachel Morris.
