Carl Rudd's Obituary
Rudd, Carl, age 83, of Michigan Center, passed away at his home March 2, 2014 under the loving care of his family and Great Lakes Hospice. He is survived by his wife, Reatha H., four children, Judy Ann (Dave) Jennings, C. David (Sue) Rudd, Terry L. Rudd and Chuck Rudd, two step-children, Brenda (Kiff) Hughes and Darrin Jones, foster daughter, Ivey (Lyman) Hall, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Annabelle in 2005, daughter-in-law Kathy Rudd, five brothers, one sister and his parents, Henry C. and Carrie L (Mullins) Rudd. He owned and operated Rudd's 24 Hour Service for 31 years, fifty year member of the Jackson Moose Lodge, member Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3634, Michigan Center, Past-President of the Michigan Towing Association and Past-President of the East End Merchant's Association of Jackson. Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday, 11 am with Pastor Jerry Bailey officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Contributions in his memory are directed to Great Lakes Hospice.
