Carolyn Sue Gier's Obituary
Gier, Carolyn Sue, age 74, of Clark Lake, passed away May 16, 2014 at her home under the loving care of her family and Great Lakes Hospice. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald L., two children, Kelly (Shellie) Gier and Amy (Roger) Rowlison, five grandchildren, Brian (Candis) and Whitney Gier, Joshua, Samantha and Gabriel Rowlison, four great-grandchildren, her in-laws, Joan Hartley, Raymond (Linda), Jerry (Jan) and Wayne (Carol) Gier and many other family members who loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight E. and Sarah S. (maiden Pollack) Kelly her sister, Dana Roland, brother Rick Kelly, brothers-in-law, Harry Gier and Jerry Hartley. Carolyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a Member of St. Rita's Catholic Church where a Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 11 am, with Father Tom Helfrich officiating. Interment of cremains will be at Roseland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time. They would like to give their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Tim Murray, at the Allegiance ICU, Carolyn's Allegiance Hospice Case Manager, Jessica Rogers and the Great Lakes Hospice Nurse, Pat Panter. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory are directed to the Great Lakes Hospice.
