Carroll Herman Bush Jr.'s Obituary
Age 90, of Blackman Township, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020 at Vista Grande Villa's Trellis Gardens under the loving care of his family, VGV staff and Elara Caring Hospice. He is survived by his daughter, Merrilee (Richard) Skrocki; one grandson, Todd (Lori) Skrocki and one great-grandson, Michael Skrocki. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alwilda in 1982; brother, Charles Bush and his parents; Carroll Herman and Florence Elizabeth (Guettler) Bush Sr. and his late wife; Joyce. He served the nation in the US Army during the Korean War and then went on to retire from the Sparton Corporation where he was an electrical engineer in the SonaBuoy Department. Carroll was a long time member of the Board of Directors, Michigan Theater Preservation Society. He was a very active member of the Vandercook Lake Lions Club. Cremation has taken place. A luncheon to honor his memory will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at the Vandercook Lake Lions Clubhouse (4628 Francis, corner of McDevitt Ave). At a future date his cremated remains will be interred next to Alwilda in the Old Aldrich Cemetery, Hillsdale County, with full military honors. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Vandercook Lake Lions Club.
