Catherine Marie Cottrell's Obituary
Catherine Marie Cottrell, 91 of Chelsea (formerly of Manchester) passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Chelsea Retirement Community. Family and friends will gather Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, at Eineder Funeral Homes - Manchester Chapel. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St Mary Roman Catholic Church, 210 W. Main St. Manchester, burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Manchester.
Fr. Gerald Gawronski will serve as celebrant.
Catherine was born on May 27, 1935 in Buffalo, New York, to Edward Martin Misiak and Casmira (Kopinski) Misiak. Catherine married the love of her life, Donald D. Cottrell, in 1957 in Evans, New York. She will be remembered for her love of family, cooking, canning, playing piano, home renovations, a keen eye for home décor, being quick witted, crocheting, sewing, reading, bowling, Bingo, casino trips. She had a strong spirit and had eternal optimism. Catherine was a sweet soul who made everyone feel welcome. She will always be remembered for her strong, unwavering support of Don throughout his demanding career.
Catherine will be deeply missed by her children, Cindy Cottrell, Bill (Lynn) Cottrell, Kathleen (Paul) Edds, Diane (Chuck) Schultz, Patty (Bill) Miller, and Nancy (Jeff) Hanselman; grandchildren Jane Cottrell, Joshua (Samantha) Cottrell, Katlin (Joe) Brisbois, Bill (Jessica) Edds, PJ (Farah) Edds, Rosemary (Will) Hill, Mitchell (Isabella) Edds, Catherine (Traverse) Cogan, Emily and Andrew Schultz, Joseph Walkowe and Alex (Shaylee) Cottrell, Christian (Taylor) Hanselman and Julia Hanselman; great grandchildren Annie Cottrell, Wren and Eloise Brisbois; Mabel, Daisy, Hattie, Mary, and Olive Edds; Amelle and Idris Edds; Stella Edds, Jameson and Lyla Hill; Porter and Mila Edds; Braden, Blake and Weston Cogan; Cedar, Soleil and Alder Hanselman.
She is preceded in death by husband, Don; her parents; her brother, Thaddeus (Barbara) Misiak and brother, Eugene (Elsie) Misiak.
