Catherine Ann DiVietri's Obituary
Catherine Ann DiVietri, 79, of Jackson passed away peacefully at home, April 26, 2024. Catherine’s family and friends will gather on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following visitation at 11:00 a.m.
Cathy was born on April 11, 1945, in Jackson, Michigan to Robert George and Felicia (Dziesupek) Carlson. Cathy married the love of her life, Joseph Patrick DiVietri, on April 24, 1965, in Jackson, Michigan at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church and they had 59 wonderful years together. Cathy was employed at Michigan Center School District for 23 years as a teacher aid and crossing guard. She then worked at East Jackson School District for 10 years as a teacher aid. She really enjoyed meeting people, going to Classic Car Shows and working in her yard. Cathy will best be remembered as a very loving woman who loved to care for and serve children. She adored her family and loved spending time with them.
Catherine will be missed by her husband Joseph DiVietri; her children, Kimberly DiVietri, Debra (Joe) Miles, Michelle (Howard) Rice, Dannielle (Jim) Williams, Joseph Robert DiVietri, Daniel DiVietri, Melissa DiVietri, Eric DiVietri; grandchildren, Kristina and Madyson Rice, Marissa Williams, Kadence DiVietri, and three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Leo Carlson.
