Catherine H. Rappleye's Obituary
Rappleye, Catherine H. Age 95, of Leoni Township, passed away at her home April 14, 2014 under the loving care of her family and Great Lakes Hospice. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, James L.; three children, Maurice J. Guilfoil, Joyce A. (George) McCaslin and Mary Lucille Amanati; four grandchildren, Tara (Jerome) Hall, Scott, Troy and Jason Showerman; three great-grandchildren, Jacob (Kortney) Showerman, Cody and Brittney Southwell; one great-great-grandson, Isaac Showerman; special caregiver, Novellis Allen; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Catherine Radkey and five siblings, Florence Howard, Carolyn Doyle, Lucille Helms, Eveline, Michael and Oscar Radkey. Catherine retired from Aeroquip Corporation, was an excellent cook, loved working in her flower garden, enjoyed handiwork such as sewing, crocheting and knitting; and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Services will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 10:30 am with Father Tim MacDonald officiating. Interment St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday evening, 6-8 pm with Recitation of the Rosary at 6 pm. Contributions in her memory are directed to Our Lady of Fatima Parish or Great Lakes Hospice.
