Charles Harlan Bridgewater's Obituary
Age 88, of Michigan Center, passed away January 28, 2020 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. He is survived by his wife; Patricia Ann (maiden Crout) Bridgewater, one son; Stu Bridgewater, five grandchildren; Heather (Aaron) English, Nikki (Joe) Adkins, Jesse Yother, Jenna and Nick Bridgewater, great-grandchildren; Joey and Bodee Adkins, Emerson, Sullivan and Ruby English, daughter-in-law; Julie Bridgewater, his sister; Theda Lucille Ward, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son; Roger Bridgewater, parents; Benjamin J. and Clarice (maiden-Price) Bridgewater, one brother; James Nolan and two sisters; Anna Lee Martin and Mary Ellen Robinson. Charles retired after an honorable career as a corrections officer with the State Prison System, enjoyed cars, motorcycles and scooters, was an avid gardener known for his beautiful tomatoes. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3634, Michigan Center and a former member of the Jackson Moose and Elk Lodges. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, February 3, 2020 from 5-7 pm. He will be encrypted at Hillcrest Memorial park at private services.
