Charles "Allen" Evans' Obituary
Charles Allen Evans, 68, of Brooklyn passed away after a seven-year battle with Alzheimer’s on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on January 20, 1954, in Welch, West Virginia to Charles and Fannie (Smith) Evans. Allen married the love of his life, Sherri Snowgold, on July 6, 1974, in Ypsilanti, Michigan after his graduation from Willow Run High School, class of 1972. He will be remembered as a kind, caring person that loved to cook. Allen loved his family, his children, his grandchildren and especially his cats. He was very proud of his West Virginian heritage and had a strong faith in his Lord. Allen enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting in his early years, but found peace in gardening and feeding the birds. He retired after 24 years with GM at the Willow Run Hydromatic Plant. He will greatly be missed by his loving family and friends.
Allen is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sherri; his children April Evans and Adam Evans; siblings, Chris (Margaret) Evans and Jane (Greg) Caldwell; two grandsons’s Kaiden and Karter Evans; and sisters-in-law, Sandy (Gary) Tumath and Susette (Scott Krull) Snowgold. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial contributions may be given to family for future designation. Please leave a message of comfort for Allen’s family or sign his guestbook at www.EinederFuneralHomes.com.
