Charles (JR) Harrison Smiley Jr.'s Obituary
Age 46, of Michigan Center, gained his angel wings Saturday, April 14, 2018 surrounded by his loving family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Jodi L. Smiley, three children, Kylee (James) Dickinson, Jayde (Luke) Gemalsky and Carlo E. Harrison Smiley, eight grandchildren, Caiden, Dolton, Couper, Autumn, Danny Mae, Skylyr, Dodge and Jayce, parents, Charles H. Smiley Sr. and Catherine M. Smiley, sisters, Terrie (John) Rowley and Toni Foster, brother Skip (Tina) Smiley, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. JR loved his family and friends, he treated everyone he met with a warm smile and a cold beer as though he had known them forever. He enjoyed riding his Harley, grilling for everyone, bonfires and Budweiser. He worked as a 100 ton crane operator at Gerdau for 18 years. A Celebration of his Life will be held Friday, April 20, 2018 at 2 pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #612, 301 Detroit Street, Jackson, Michigan 49201.
