Charles George Kalmar's Obituary
Age 81, of Michigan Center, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital. Charles was born in Detroit, Michigan on Friday, October 10, 1941 to the late Charles John and Rose (maiden-Molnar) Kalmar. He is survived by his wife of 41 years; Jacquelyn P. (maiden-Logan), son; David Kalmar, step-son; Bret Lehman, grandchildren; Lane Lehman, Melanie Lehman, Alysia (Fred) Bowman, great-grandchildren; Lucas and Emma Bowman, two sisters; Rose Marie (Dominic) Tassoni and Jo Ann Sopata. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son Michael Kalmar. Charles retired after a long career at Valenite Company in the Detroit Area. He and Jackie enjoyed their winter home in Florida where he volunteered many years with the Charlotte County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of the Michigan Center Lions Club, the Michigan Center Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3634 and the Punta Gorda Florida Elks Club Lodge #2606. Mr. Kalmar has been cremated and no services will be held. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Michigan Center Eagles.
