Charles "Bob" Lambert's Obituary
Charles Robert Lambert, 91, of Norvell, Michigan passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 peacefully at home with his loving family by his side. Bob’s family and friends will gather Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at the Norvell Community Baptist Church, 204 E. Commercial Dr., Norvell, MI 49263, the funeral service to follow the visitation with full military honors. Pastor Ned Bernstein will officiate.
He was born on April 7, 1934, in Aflex, Kentucky to Carmie and Chattie (Sammon) Lambert. Bob married, Billie Nortley, on February 14. 2005, in Belleville, Michigan. He will be remembered adoringly as “Uncle Bob”. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, later becoming a pilot to fly his personal aircraft. He was employed at Rawsonville Ford for over 30 years. Bob enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping and horses. He was very mechanically inclined; and could fix just about anything. He also played the harmonica and gospel songs on his guitar. Bob was an amazing uncle, and best friend that loved family and God. He was a longtime member of the Norvell Community Baptist Church and was a very straight forward, giving, unique individual, that would tell you how it was. Above all Bob was a devoted husband that cherished his wife. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bob is survived by his wife of 20 years, Billie; his daughter, Sandy Curtiss; siblings, Tommy (Diane) Lambert, Roger (Carol) Lambert, Nora (Bill) Clark and Yonna Hinkle; grandchildren Samantha (Matt), Jessie (Seong-Hee), Tyson, Travis, Camron, and Tia; many great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carmie and Chattie; his step-mother, Agnes; a son, Charlie; and siblings, Eugene, Ethel, Mary Jo, Gladys, Billie Steve; and a brother-in-law, Rick Hinkle.
