Charlotte Joyce Ambs' Obituary
Age 97, a lifetime resident of Jackson, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. She is survived by her son; Brian P. (Theresa) Ambs, three grandchildren; Nicole (Brian "Morgan") Morgan, Brian (Jessica) Ambs and Derek (Emily) Ambs, seven great-grandchildren; Kelsey (Storm) Ambs, Damion (Maddie) Morgan, Darius Ambs, Marcus Ambs, Maverick Ambs, Avery Ambs and Olivia Ambs, three sisters; Judy Hitt, Iris (Gary) Scott and Shirley (John) Schlinder, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; Paul Leo Ambs, brothers Merwin, Dewey and Doug Young, and her parents; Merwin and Arloene (Boyer) Young. Charlotte was a graduate of East Jackson High School, longtime manager at the West Avenue Hardee's Restaurant, loved sewing, bowling and fishing. She was a very proud and supportive grandma who attended almost all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sporting events well into her nineties. Services will be held at the JaxNaz Church (3905 Clinton Road - 49201) on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 11 am with Steve Rice officiating. Interment St. John's Cemetery, Jackson. The family will receive friends at Arthur-Day Funeral Home Tuesday evening, 5-8 pm. Contributions in her memory are directed to the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home.
