Cheryl Eileen Emery's Obituary
Cheryl Eileen Emery, 79, passed away May 2, 2023. Cheryl’s family and friends will gather on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel, 137 S. Main St., Brooklyn, MI. A combined funeral service for both Cheryl and her husband, Gerald, will be held immediately following visitation at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Ned Bernstein will officiate.
Cheryl was born on November 8, 1943, in Two Harbors, Minnesota to Frank and Eileen (Hansen) Fuller. Cheryl married the love of her life, Gerald Douglas Emery on March 4, 1961. They shared nearly 50 years together until his passing in 2020. She and her husband loved and devoted their lives to raising and showing St. Bernard dogs. They owned Woodstock Kennels and showed their dogs across the country. They were members of the St. Bernard Club of America. Cheryl was also the J.V. cheerleading coach for Columbia Schools for many years and she was active in the Columbia Boosters. When her children were younger, she and her husband were at all their sporting events, cheering them on with voices and cowbells. In her later years, she enjoyed living on Silver Lake watching the water go by.
Cheryl will be missed by her children, Steven (Diane) Emery; Scott Emery; Randy Emery; Kathi (John) Hutson and Jerry Emery; a sister, Bonnie Fleming; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Gerald; and a brother and sister.
