David Bianchi
As with most childhood friends, I didn't have contact with Chris after leaving for the Army and moving to Georgia afterwards. I was however a fixture at the McPeak house for years! Chris respected his family, first and foremost. Crazy how I remember this, maybe not though as I reflect back on how much time I spent with Chris and his family.
His father Jimmy had us working on projects like painting the garage and helping with cars. Jimmy taught me how to "wet sand" a car, taught me how to turn a wrench. His brother Jim helped with my cars, and Uncle Robert painted both my Camaro and Firebird. Peggy had me stay for dinner many times. I was nearly lost as a teen. Having the McPeek family in my life made a difference.
My deepest condolences to the McPeek family, and to Chris' family.
