Clinton Earl Maine's Obituary
Age 85, of Lake Columbia, formerly of Cranberry Lake, passed away at home November 26, 2015. He is survived by four daughters, Brenda Kirk, Cindy (Randy) Pomerville, Shelly (Tim ) Schrank and JeanAnne Allen; ten grandchildren, Vicki (Scott) Beck, Matt (Angela) Rudolph, Ryan (Rebekah) Mohney, Adam Pomerville, Kyle and Sheldon Allen, Crystal Kirk, Amy (Ben) Curtiss, Eric (Michelle) Schrank and Janette Smith; thirteen great-grandchildren, four sisters, Phyllis Alley, Shirley (Bob) Griffis, Linda (Ed) Korbinski and Sharon Reed; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy and his grandson, Corey Mohney. Earl served the nation as a Sergeant in the US Army, Korean War, had worked for The Credit Bureau of Jackson and Domestic Credit and was a retired Corrections Officer with the State Department of Corrections. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time at his cabin up north and his Florida home, loved to play cards, visit casinos, view sporting events and was an avid Detroit Tigers Fan. Services will be held at the funeral home Monday, November 30, 2015 at 7 pm with Pastor Richard Brooks officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 pm until service time. After services, his cremated remains will be laid to rest with his late wife at Highland Cemetery, Brooklyn, MI. Military honors will be offered by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. Contributions in his memory are directed to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, 1169 Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48108. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Lynn VanWagnen, the physicians and staff at D.S.I. and Mike from Allegiance Health Care for their caring and concern for Earl.
