Daniel Eugene Phelps , 78, passed away January 10, 2026 under the loving care of his wife and Elara Hospice.
Daniel was born on March 16, 1947, in Jackson, Michigan to Donald and Stephanie (Wilcinski) Phelps. Daniel married the love of his life, Deborah Kay Unklesbay and they enjoyed many years together. He went to Napoleon Schools and after high school Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Afterwards he spent many years as a mail carrier. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Daniel will be missed by his wife Deborah; his sons, Aaron Phelps and Justin (Hilary) Phelps; his brother David (Meg) Phelps and sisters, Donna Phelps and Debbie (David) Fryer; grandchildren Isaiah and Lila; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Stephanie and Gordan Waters.
