Darwin Frederick Honeywell's Obituary
Darwin Frederick Honeywell, 83, of Brooklyn passed away Monday, December 25, 2023. He was born on December 24, 1940, in Jackson, Michigan to Jack and Luella (Uden) Honeywell. Darwin married the love of his life, Joyce, and they had 51 years together before her passing. He will be remembered as a man that would help those in need anyway, he could, making his family his top priority. Darwin proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a multi business owner and a farmer. Darwin loved to garden. He was a member of the Irish Hills Fire Department, a judge advocate and officer of the Veterans Affairs and Honor guard, a lifelong member of the Eagles of Irish Hills, Aerie #3689 and Brooklyn Sportsman Club along with the Onsted Coon Club. After his retirement, Darwin and Joyce were able to take vacations, traveling throughout the United States. He also spent Christmas with his Amish family and was involved in their community.
Darwin is survived by his sons, Jamie Honeywell, Jason Honeywell and Bobby (Mary) Flint; two brothers, Vincent (Cheri) Honeywell and Darrell (Sue) Honeywell; grandchildren Elizabeth and Alyssa Honeywell, Edward and Timothy Flint; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce, a son Darwin, brothers, Duane and Dennis, and a grandson, Robert Flint.
