David Malcolm Bailey's Obituary
David Malcolm Bailey, 73, of Brooklyn, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side, Wednesday, December 13, 2023. David’s family and friends will gather Monday, December 18, 2023 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel. His funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm following the visitation. Elder, Curt Butler of the South Jackson Congregation, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses will officiate.
He was born on April 20, 1950, in Concord, Michigan to Wayne and Angela (Taylor) Bailey. David married the love of his life, Theresa Trettin on September 8, 1973 in Onsted, Michigan. He will be remembered for his great story telling and contagious smile. David was a devoted husband that loved his wife a thousand times over. They were destined to meet and be together. In their 50 years, they never had an argument. David was a 1969 graduate of Columbia Central High School, where he lettered in basketball and cross country. He retired from Aunt Millies after 46 years of baking. David was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt, fish and travel. He maintained he had a guardian angel looking over him his entire life, he was shot 3 times, survived 2 burning buildings, laid down his motorcycle, had 5 bouts with cancer and a brain aneurysm. In 2016 he became a brother of Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness and 2019 he was baptized. David had a strong, kind personality and was the one people turned to for guidance. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
David is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Theresa; his children, Elizabeth Bailey and Andrew Bailey; siblings, Terrie King and Scott (Christine) Bailey. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Brenda Bailey and a grandson, Shane Bailey.
