David Lee Clark's Obituary
Age 81, of Jackson, passed away at the Allegiance Hospice Home Sunday, March 1, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Arlene June (maiden-Stiles) Clark; four children, Constance (Stephen) Anderson, Bradley (Mary) Clark, Joanne (Thomas) Hutt and Daniel Clark; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and his sister, Elaine Jousma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladwyn and Gaynell (maiden-Robinson) Clark; brother, Richard G. Clark and three sisters, Enola Klomparens, Dorothy Velting and Ella Bancroft. David was born September 8, 1933 in Grand Rapids, served the nation in the US Army in Korea from 1953 to 1955. He was a retired electrician with 60 years in the IBEW Local 252. He belonged to the American Legion Rose City Post #324 (Michigan Center) and the VFW Post 10210 (Sebastian, Florida) and was past Commodore of the Michigan Center Three Horse Club. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, loved his many dogs and was a caring and devoted husband, father and grandfather. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at the funeral home Friday, March 6, 2015 at 2 pm with Dr. Robert Bailey of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Jackson, officiating. Veterans honors will be offered by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. Visitation will be Thursday evening 6-8 pm and one hour prior to service time on Friday. Those who desire may make contributions in his memory to the Allegiance Hospice Home or the Jackson County Animal Shelter.
