David Lowell Sprang's Obituary
Age 89, of Michigan Center, passed away December 18, 2014 at Allegiance Health as a result of a fall in his home. He is survived by five children; Charles D. ""Chuck"" (Mary) Sprang, Thomas (Sherie) Sprang, Elizabeth J. ""Betty"" (Greg) Putra, Timothy (Jill) Sprang and James (Crystal) Sprang; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine E. in 2011; daughter, Penny Marie Sprang; brother, Arthur Sprang and his parents, Charles and Betty (maiden-Brown) Sprang. Mr. Sprang was a long time member of the Clark Lake Lions Club, the Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club, Local 333 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Jackson Motor Speedway Old Timers Club, enjoyed driving race cars in the 'late model' division and was a retiree of Jim Coffey Plumbing. Services will be held at the funeral home Monday, December 22, 2014 at 10 am with Chaplain Kyle Herrick of Allegiance Pastoral Care officiating. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday 5-8 pm. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Wounded Warrior Project, 230 W. Monroe Street Suite 200 Chicago, Illinois 60606.
