David “Butch” Charles Wargo, 72, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 5, 2020. He was born on April 27, 1948, in Franklin Township, Pennsylvania to Edward and Regina (Tanner) Wargo. David married the love of his life, Helen Mata, on October 26, 1996 in Maui, Hawaii. He will be remembered for his quick wit and one liners. David loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, RVing and even flying his airplane. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his time in the service he became employed at Hewlett Packard, retiring after 28 years. David had a deep, warm personality that reflected in his music. He loved playing the piano, blues and boogie woogie being his specialty. David was a joy to be around, a very humble, quiet man. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
David is survived by his wife Helen; his children, Mark (Stephanie Preston) Wargo of Saline, Kimberly (Bradley) Ahrens of Saline, Andrea (Rick) McQueen of Livonia, and Marc (Lori Hartung) Brand of Clinton; his brother Edward Wargo of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren Carter, Macy, Adam, Connor and Nikole; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Diane Taylor.
David’s family and friends will gather Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Eineder Funeral Homes - Manchester Chapel with a brief service to follow at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Saline. Fr. John Linden to officiate. Memorial contributions are suggested to Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnels to Towers.
