Dean Kienenberger's Obituary
Dean Willard Kienenberger: 1928-2024 - Dean went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 11, 2024, at the age of 96. He leaves behind his wife of 74 years, Grace Marie (Riddle), three daughters Judean Owen, Debbie (Thomas) Dunn and Thora Rider, along with six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Dean was born and raised in North Dakota and grew up on a farm. He was a WWII Veteran having served in the US Army from 1946-1947. Upon completing his service, he returned to North Dakota and married Grace. After welcoming their first born, they sought after work and moved to Allen Park, Michigan. He and Grace raised their three daughters and then moved to Brooklyn, Michigan in 1977, where he remained until his passing. Dean held many vocations throughout his lifetime such as farmer, hauler, salesman, semi driver, bus driver, pest control applicator and irrigation installer. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Dean will always be remembered as a hardworking, strong-willed problem solver. Dean took pride in his home and lawn. He enjoyed time outdoors and could often be found on his lawnmower, in his pole barn or simply basking in the sun in his patio chair. He loved his family tremendously and always tried to guide with a firm yet caring approach. He didn't say, "I Love You," very often, but it always showed in his actions. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.; with a visitation to begin at 10:00a.m. at Eineder Funeral Home – Brooklyn Chapel, followed by a procession to highland cemetery with a 21-gun salute. Luncheon to follow. Dean's family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made in his name to the American Legion Wilber -Bartlett Post 315 in Brooklyn, MI. Please leave a message of comfort or sign Dean’s guestbook at www.EinederFuneralHomes.com.
