Deloris Jean May, 79, of Jackson, Michigan passed away October 7, 2024. According to her wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
Deloris was born on November 11, 1944, in Monroe Township, Mississippi to James and Dorothy (Lawrence) Brinkle. Deloris married the love of her life, Paul Dayton May Jr., on December 12, 1963, in Jackson, Michigan. They spent many wonderful years together until his passing. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She especially enjoyed spending time with her great grandson, Kristofer.
Deloris was a life-long waitress at many of Jackson’s finest restaurants. She enjoyed, reading, binge-watching television shows and spending time with her friends at the Michigan Center Eagles Post #3634.
Deloris will be missed by her son, Scott (Lori) May and daughter Shelly May; siblings, Edward (Sally) Brinkle, Randall (Patricia) Brinkle and Theresa (Chuck) Peters; grandchild, Christopher Rockwell; great grandchild Kristofer Rockwell and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy, husband, Paul and brothers, Charles, James and Danny Brinkle.
