Dennis Ray Jonas' Obituary
Age 64. of Norvell Township, passed away at the Heartland Health Care Center, Superior Township March 7 2016. He is survived by his life companion, Dale Barbu, four siblings, Kenneth (Laura MacDougal) Jonas, Cheryl (Steve) Jonas-Acquilla, Steve (Sharon) Jonas and Fredd (Kitty) Jonas, aunt, Carol (Ken) Hawkins and uncle Darrel (Diane) Jonas, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Marilyn (maiden-Gamble) Jonas. He worked as a restaurant manager in the Ann Arbor area for many years and helped found the Huron AIDS Resource Center (now Unified). Services will be held at the Vandercook Baptist Church, 703 E. McDevitt Ave on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11 am with Pastor Kyle Vegter officiating. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the CHURCH Thursday evening 5-8 pm. Contributions in his memory are directed to Unified, 3075 Clark Road, Suite 203, Ypsilanti, MI 48197.
