Dennis Edwin Pollock's Obituary
Age 70, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. Dennis is survived by his beloved family, his sister, Diana Powell of Jackson; sister-in-law, Susie Pollock of Union City, TN; nephews, Richard Powell, Ronnie (Marcie) Pollock and Chris Pollock; nieces, Stephanie Griffin and Sarah (Brad) Scheland; many wonderful grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Flora (Collins) Pollock; brother, Russell Pollock and nephew, Scott Powell. Dennis was a 1968 graduate of Jackson High School and then went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University. Leaving for California, Dennis worked at a bank located on the Queen Mary in Long Beach Harbor. While in California, he started working in the medical transcription field which he continued to do as he moved to Tennessee and back to Michigan, finally retiring in 2018. Dennis had a great love for his family and cared for his nieces and nephews and their families as if they were his own, he treasured time with each of them. He was an avid reader and movie watcher and loved animals of all types. Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Covid-19 restrictions in place; masking and limit of 25 attendees at any given time. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
