Dina Lee Thompson, 84, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away under the loving care of Henry Ford Hospice Home with her beloved husband and son by her side on July 12, 2026. Dina was born on April 24,1942, in Jackson, Michigan, to Bud and Bing Goodwin. She married the love of her life, David Lee Thompson, on June 16, 1962 who survives.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 64 years, David; her son Matthew (Leslie); grandson, David (Emily); greatchildren, Nellie and Casey. She is preceded in death by her parents, her cherished daughter, Andrea, her sister, Judy and brother, Jimmy.
Dina graduated from Michigan Center High School, worked for Napoleon High School and Michigan Center High School as well as secretarial roles. After retirement, she and David moved to Graying, Michigan where they enjoyed many years living on the Manistee River. Dina was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed many close friendships made at the Graying Sportsman’s club. In more recent years, returning to Jackson to be near her son and family.
Honoring Dina’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will gather privately at the graveside.
